The biggest coffee festival in the Czech Republic, Prague Coffee Festival will be taking its stand in Holešovice this month!
Are you in Prague this weekend and want to do something a little different? Look no further! Prague Coffee Festival is back and better than ever, taking place in Holešovice, Prague’s coolest district.
This year, the festival will be focused on the sustainability of coffee culture- in a time when we are all more conscious about our impact on the environment, a lot of emphasis has been placed on the use of disposable coffee cups and their impact on the planet. Porcelain cups and glasses will be available at the festival for you to borrow, so you can enjoy your brews without contributing to the problem!
A little bit about the festival:
The Prague Coffee Festival, organised by the Coffee Embassy Association, aims at promoting coffee culture and raising public awareness about coffee, coffee growers and processors as well as new trends in the industry.
Established in 2012 by mamacoffee Roastery, the goal was to provide a communal space for all coffee lovers where they could share, innovate and enjoy everything to do with coffee! This festival has gone from strength to strength, and is definitely one to watch on the coffee festival scene!
What can you expect?
During both days of the festival, there will be brilliant lectures led by both Czech coffee professionals and foreign guests from the global coffee community, including:
- Andrew Tolley of Taylor St. Baristas
- Kraig Kraft from World Coffee Research
- Jaroslav Slámečka from Candycane Coffee
- Eva Bendová, author of the book “Prague Café”
- Aneta Paurová and Anita Žáčková from CKP Roseta
There will also be a plethora of workshops- besides from the usual workshops such as how to prepare filtered coffee at home, this year the festival will offer Coffee Yoga and Playful Coffee Cosmetics!
What Prague Coffee Festival does so well is the wide range of food and refreshments on offer, so that you don’t have to go on the hunt for food elsewhere! This year they will be serving sweet bakery products and home-made cheesecakes, doughnuts and churros as well as burgers, Chinese and vegan options!
